Application Help
The current edition of PaperTracker is an iOS app for analyzing the photo of a Creative Memories scrapbooking paper and identifying what Paper Pack it belongs to. For the classified Paper Pack the user can display a list of links to web pages (e.g. blogs) and YouTube videos. The objective is to provide the user with the ability to follow a scrapbook paper to find instructions by (1) snap a photo of their paper, and (2) browse the results and pick the project they want to create.
There are two App Permissions that the user needs to agree to for PaperTracker to function to its fullest capabilities. These settings can be later changed in iOS Settings > PaperTracker app settings
(1) Camera Usage: allows app to use the Camera to take a picture of the paper to be analyzed. Without this capability any photo to be analyzed must be taken outside PaperTracker and then selected from the device’s Photo Library via ‘Select Photo’ button
(2) Photo Library Additions: allows the app to save the photo taken via ‘Take Photo’ button to the device’s Photo Library
The app has the following components:
* Main view where the user selects a photo to analyze by either (a) ‘Select Photo’ or (b) ‘Take Photo’
* The picture is displayed and the view then displays the ‘Classify Paper’ button which sends the displayed picture to an AI Classification model running in the ‘cloud’.
* The AI model identifies what Paper Pack the paper picture is associated with and the results (Paper Pack and Confidence Level) are displayed in the ‘Classification Results’ rectangle on the main PaperTracker view.
* A menu button in top-right part of the main view has a menu item ‘Model Response’ which opens a separate view with the full model response. (Note: this menu item and associated Model Response view are there for testing purposes and may not be in the final app.)
* After ‘Classification Results’ are displayed the ‘Show Links’ button will appear. This button opens the ‘Links’ view with list items for the Paper Pack in ‘Classification Results’.
* Each list item in ‘Links’ view has a (a) title, (b) image and (c) ‘Visit Link’ link that takes the user to either a browser web page or YouTube video.
